Adding, editing, or deleting a waypoint

Waypoints are essential for ensuring that routes are well marked and easy to follow. By adding or adjusting them, you help the community follow the route without getting lost and better understand the terrain. It is thanks to these landmarks that Visorando remains a reliable and user-friendly resource.

The management of waypoints, also known as WP, works differently on computers and mobile devices.

📱 On the mobile app

On mobile devices, you can only add a waypoint to your route while recording it. It is not possible to delete or modify a waypoint afterwards via the app. To do so, you will need to go to our website.

To add a waypoint when recording a track:

Open the app, then go to the track being recorded by tapping Menu in the top left corner, then tap Recording in progress
Tap + then Add a waypoint
Label it, then tap OK or Add

🖥️ On the website

On the website, you can add, edit or delete a waypoint from your route. To do so:

Click on My Account > My Walks
Access the desired route, and click on Actions > Edit text
The route has now opened in edit mode:
- To add a waypoint, click on one of the points on your route, directly on the map on the right-hand side of the screen
- To delete a waypoint, click on it
- You can change the name of a waypoint in the Waypoints section by clicking on Add a title and/or point of interest or on Edit
