Privacy of my account and its contents
Choose who can and cannot access your account information and routes. These actions can only be performed on our website.
Account privacy
By default, your account is private.
A private account/profile cannot be viewed by others.
Also, if your account is private, all new routes on your account will be Private.
If you want to share your profile, you can make your profile public.
If you change your account to public, others can view your profile, and all your published routes will be listed there.
Also, all new routes on your account will be Viewable via link.
When you switch your account from private to public, and vice versa, this only changes the privacy settings for future routes, not for existing ones.
To change your account's privacy:
- Click on My Account > My Public Profile
- Follow the link to make your profile public
If, on the other hand, your profile is public and you wish to make it private:
- Click on My Account > My Public Profile
- On the right, click on Make this profile private
Route privacy
Regardless of your account's privacy setting, you can change the privacy setting for each route individually. The latter takes precedence.
There are two possible statuses (for routes you haven't submitted for publication or that aren't already published):
- Viewable via link: The route is only visible to people who have the link
- Private: No one but you can view this route
If you have submitted your route for publication, it is now in the publication process, and its status can no longer be changed.
Its status will automatically change to Viewable via link, and the various stages of the selection process will be displayed depending on the situations detailed in this article.
To change a route's privacy:
- Go to the website and log in to your Visorando account
- Click on the button Actions > Edit text
- At the bottom of the page, select the desired privacy setting
- Finish by clicking on Save
