Privacy of my account and its contents

Choose who can and cannot access your account information and routes. These actions can only be performed on our website.


Account privacy

By default, your account is private. This means that no one can view your profile or your routes.

When you switch your account from private to public, and vice versa, this only changes the privacy settings for future routes, not for existing ones.

If you want to share your profile and all your future routes systematically, you can make your profile public.

To change your account's privacy:

  1. Click on My Account > My Public Profile
  2. Follow the link to make your profile public

If, on the other hand, your profile is public and you wish to make it private:

  1. Click on My Account > My Public Profile
  2. On the right, click on Make this profile private

Route privacy

Regardless of your account's privacy settings, you can change the privacy settings for each route individually. The latter takes precedence. There are three possible statuses:

  • Public: This route will be public, visible to everyone from your profile
  • Private: This route will be private; no one but you will be able to view it
  • Public via link: This route will only be visible to people with whom you have shared its link

To change a route's privacy:

  1. Log in to your account and access the route
  2. Click on the button Actions > Edit text
  3. At the bottom of the page, select the desired privacy setting
  4. Finish by clicking on Save
